Greetings fellow nerds.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy director, James Gunn, has given fans arguably two of the better Marvel Cinematic Universe films to date and now it appears as though he'll be head honcho for the entire "cosmic" MCU.

During an interview with IGN, Gunn revealed that Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has already been picking his brain for future movies and that GotG3 will be the film that lays the groundwork for the larger cosmic MCU.

We talk about it all the time.

It’s already a part of what I’m doing with Marvel and the conversations that Kevin and I have every day. When we’re talking about Guardians of the Galaxy 3, and that story, that’s a story that will lead to other stories. It’s innate to the DNA that that’s the end of a trilogy but it’s the beginning of a whole other element of the Marvel Cosmic universe. That’s a part of what I’m doing now.

We know we're getting Adam Warlock in Guardians 3, but what other characters could be added? Much like Steven Moffat, Kevin Feige never talks about something on accident. So, does the fact that he very recently brought up the Skrulls mean we'll be seeing the shapeshifting baddies sooner rather than later? Is Nova going to finally debut on the big screen? Does Captain Marvel count amongst the cosmic movies? Oh the possibilities...

Who would you like to see in the cosmic MCU and what worlds do you want to see explored?
