Hail to the Queen, Baby. Serinda Swan is Medusa in Marvel’s Inhumans!

Marvel's Inhumans has hit the ground running with back to back casting announcements for two of the show's leads in Anson Mount as Black Bolt and Iwan Theon playing Maximus. Well, once you've hit three in a row it's considered a streak and baby they're on one. It's just been announced that Serinda Swan will play Medusa, Queen of the Inhumans.

Most comics fans might recognize Swan as Zatanna from CW's Smallville or Siren #2 from TRON: Legacy. The Big Boss Man of Marvel TV, Jeph Loeb, had some very noice words about Swan.

“Serinda empowers Medusa’s regal glory and still maintains a relatability that synced perfectly with the character. She is nothing short of wonderful.”

Showrunner Scott Buck was equally excited about Swan as well.

“Serinda Swan brings a regal elegance, as well as a sense of great inner strength and fierce determination, to the role of Medusa. I couldn’t be happier to have her as our Queen of Attilan.”

Also, thanks to the announcement we've got the official character synopsis for the Queen of the Inhumans, and those who are comics literate won't be disappointed. 

“Medusa is Black Bolt’s most trusted advisor, a fiercely resilient warrior who has the ability to move and control her hair the way most people use their hands and fingers.”

I can't wait to see who they get to play Lockjaw. Now bring me Kevin Durand for Gorgon!
