That's right nerds. the king has returned! Vader v.1 & Lando v.2 will lead Disney's latest live action adaption.

Following the success of the jungle book, director Jon Favreau is helming Disney's latest live-action update of an animated classic, the Lion King. well, favs took to his twitter to announce that James Earl Jones and Donald Glover have joined the cast! Jones returns to one of his most beloved roles as Mufasa and Glover is set to voice Simba.

Check out the announcement tweets below:

I MEAN COME ON. HOW IN THE HECK COULD YOU NOT BE EXCITED FOR THIS MOVIE? THE LIVE ACTION CONVERSION OF SOME OF THEIR ANIMATED MOVIES HAS PROVEN TO BE THE RIGHT CALL FOR THE HOUSE OF MOUSE.

JUNGLE BOOK WAS A MASSIVE SUCCESS AND FROM ALL INDICATIONS BEAUTY AND THE BEAST WILL BE GREAT TOO. SO, THERE'S NO REASON TO THINK THE LION KING WON'T BE A SMASH HIT AS WELL.

THE LION KING IS EASILY ONE OF MY FAVORITE DISNEY ANIMATED MOVIES, SO SEEING THE GREAT JEJ RETURN IS A WELCOMED SIGHT. PLUS, IT DOESN'T HURT TO ADD ONE OF THE MORE TALENTED ENTERTAINERS OUT THERE AS SIMBA. DG IS ON A HELL OF A HOT STREAK, SO ALL IN ALL LION KING IS LOOKING AWESOME!

HOW ABOUT YOU NERDS? WHO ELSE IS LOOKING FORWARD TO HEARING HAKUNA MATATA BY CHILDISH GAMBINO?
