Welcome Home, Hulk? Marvel Studios May Own A Couple More Heroes

Disney’s quest to reunite every Marvel character under one roof might have just taken another step towards completion. If rumor is to be believed, then Marvel Studios may own the film rights to none other than the Hulk and Namor, The Sub-Mariner.
According to MCU Cosmic, Marvel Studios now hold the rights to both the Jade Giant and Marvel’s own aquatic anti-hero from Universal Pictures. Previously, the Hulk could only appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a supporting character (Ragnarok, Avengers), but not in a standalone movie. And sadly, while Namor has been vaguely referenced, the Atlantean has had no big screen presence.
Well, it seems Disney wants all Marvel under one roof, and the addition of Hulk and Namor is huge for the MCU as a whole. There’s a vast wealth of material that can be covered with the addition of both these heroes.
The only question remaining is when and where we’ll meet Namor? There’s some talk of the Sub-Mariner being the villain in Black Panther 2, which would be amazing, and worth the wait. And it’s only a matter of time before we see Professor Hulk again, especially with She-Hulk coming to Disney+. So, let the waiting game begin.
Speaking of Disney+, between the events of the upcoming WandaVision series on the streaming service and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the MCU could be entirely reshaped as we know it. Afterall, what better way is there to be introduced to the supernatural side of Marvel, and the wonderful world of the X-Men?
Until then, we kick off the year with the first Marvel movie of 2020, and the MCU return of Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, in the Black Widow movie, in theaters on May 1.
