All The Yays! Ryan Coogler Will Officially Write & Direct Marvel's Black Panther 2

Hello nerds!

Following the gargantuan success that was Marvel’s Black Panther, it seemed a foregone conclusion the film’s writer/director, Ryan Coogler, would return for the sequel. Well, it’s finally official that Coogler will indeed take us back to Wakanda.

According to THR, Ryan Coogler has indeed official signed on to write and direct Black Panther 2, with the film headed into production late next year or in early 2020. And Chadwick Boseman is set to star in this one, so the pieces are coming into place for Black Panther to make another $1 billion at the box office. Now all Marvel has to do is bring T'Challa back to life.

Knowing there’s a sequel in works for a character who is not currently alive, does take some of the gravity out of the emotional face smashing that was Avengers:Infinity War, but Black Panther isn’t the first. We’ve been deluged with footage and pics from the forthcoming Spiderman:Far From Home starring Tom Holland, and he’s still technically dust.

One day Captain Marvel will return to save the Avengers and restore order to the universe, meaning all of our beloved heroes who fell under The Snap will be brought back to life. Until then, we’ll wait patiently for Avengers 4 and King T'Challa’s return.
