Shit Is Going Down In The Trailer For Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
Hello nerds!
The Multiverse is a concept about which we know frighteningly little, but at least Marvel has unleashed the official teaser. And based on the footage, this movie is going to be a fucking spectacle.
The forthcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was set-up by the events of the utterly superb, Spider-Man: No Way Home. And that movie explored only a bit of the multiverse. As it so happens, Doctor Strange will have to pay quite the hefty price for helping Peter Parker, and he might be completed screwed.
So, the good doctor seeks out the help of full-fledged Scarlet Witch aka Wanda Maximoff to fix the multiversal, horror-filled quagmire of shit he created. Said horrors include, but are not limited to the one-eyed inter-dimensional deity, Shuma-Gorath, and an evil variant of Doctor Strange himself (that we first met in Marvel’s What If...?).
As for the teaser itself, the kinds of mind-bending FX you’d expect when Doctor Strange is involved are there in all their glory. And this one definitely has a stronger horror-vibe than expected, but it’s quite nice to see. The fate of the multiverse at stake, and that’s some scary shit.
We also get glimpses of Wong who is now the Sorcerer Supreme, what appears to be more than one variant of Dr. Christine Palmer, Karl Mordo, and the MCU-debuting America Chavez.
I cannot wait to see this movie. Let’s hope it doesn’t get delayed. Again.
