Of Course He Survived. The Boogeyman Returns In First Look At Halloween Kills

If we’ve learned anything from horror franchises, it’s you can't keep a good knife-wielding killer down. And thanks to a bit of teaser, it’s officially confirmed that Michael Myers survived the fire that destroyed Laurie Strode's house during the ending of Halloween 2018. As if we needed it.
Courtesy of Jamie Lee Curtis’ Twitter, we’ve got a first look at the upcoming Halloween Kills. The footage teases a bit of a showdown at a local hospital, which if you’re up on your Halloween history, is a direct callback to 1981’s Halloween 2. Except this time, it’s canon. Halloween 2018 was a direct sequel to John Carpenter's Halloween. So, technically neither the old Halloween 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 really matter anymore. Except in our hearts.
David Gordon Green returns to the director’s chair for this one and the announced finale to his and Danny McBride’s Halloween trilogy, 2021’s Halloween Ends. Plus, along with the surviving Strodes from Halloween 2018 (Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, and Andi Matichak), Anthony Michael Hall will play the returning Tommy Doyle in Halloween Kills.
