Assume The Controls! It's The "Ultimate" Predator In An All-New Trailer

Hello nerds!

In director Shane Black's return to the property he helped launch, The Predator will look to do for the franchise what Halloween 2018 will do for the world of Michael Myers. The film will serve as a Sequel/Soft-reboot.

Featuring a smattering of new footage, a surprisingly lame callback by way of a cheesy ass one-liner, a severe lack of Jake Busey and a Predator vs. Predator smackdown, this trailer falls a bit flat. I've got a hunch The Predator could be as divisive as Shane Black's lone Marvel movie, Iron Man 3.

So we've got that to look forward to. Which is nice.  At least the poster is pretty cool.

The Predator is in theaters on September 14, 2018.

From the outer reaches of space to the small-town streets of suburbia, the hunt comes home in Shane Black’s explosive reinvention of the Predator series. Now, the universe’s most lethal hunters are stronger, smarter and deadlier than ever before, having genetically upgraded themselves with DNA from other species. When a young boy accidentally triggers their return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled science teacher can prevent the end of the human race.
