#174 – Silent Night, Deadly Night

On this week's show, a review of the cult classic that almost ruined Christmas in 1984, Silent Night, Deadly Night. This holiday horror slasher is confounding amalgam of standard 80s horror movie tropes such as a largely unknown cast, hyperviolence, bad acting, worse dialog, nudity, "plot" holes, and more violence which is then followed by more nudity. This movie was not an easy watch.
And while almost none of it works, this film surprisingly spawned several sequels over the next two decades, including a failed remake attempt in the early 2000s.
