You Had Me At Vampire Mockumentary. The Trailer For The What We Do In Shadows TV Series Is Superb,

Hello nerds!

If you’re a fan of vampires, wry humor, and European accents, you’re in for a real treat, because What We Do In Shadows is coming to TV in an all-new series. If you haven’t seen the film, do yourselves and favor and see the cult classic. It’s refreshingly original, quirky as all hell, and is quite possibly one of the funniest movies of the last 20 years.

Granted, a mockumentary about a group of vampires living together in New Zealand is pretty out there as far as concepts go, but the film was developed, written and directed by both Jemaine Clement (Flight of the Conchords) and Taika Waititi (Director, Thor:Ragnarok). So, needless to say, it’s funny as fuck. Plus, both Clement and Waititi starred in the original film as two of the aforementioned vamp-roomies. Which was awesome. And the show looks to pick up right where thing left off, even if it is based on a new group of vampires roommates living together in Staten Island.

The series itself stars Matt Berry, Kayvan Novak, Natasia Demetriou, Harvey Guillen, and Mark Proksch as a group vampires who live together and as these things go, they sometimes have issues with one another’s “quirks”. Well, along with the official trailer, there’s a synopsis for the show and it sheds some light on the sorts of undead shenanigans we can expect to see during the first season.

I cannot wait for this motherfudging show!

What We Do in the Shadows premieres March 29, 2019 on FX.
