So Many Asses Are Kicked In The New Trailer For The Batman

Hello nerds!

DC’s FanDome was dishing out a whole lot of awesome over the weekend; which included an all-new, and action-packed trailer for director Matt Reeves’ The Batman starring Robert Pattinson.

For those unfamiliar, The Batman focuses on a younger version of the Dark Knight than we’ve previously seen on the big screen. However, don’t let his limited experience as a vigilante have you thinking this Batman won’t be all that tough. Far from it, as we see in the trailer, Batman is rampaging through Gotham City, beating evildoers to a pulp, with swift and savage bat-brutality. And THAT voice! Swoon, right?

As for the footage itself, along with some insanely good FX and fight choreography, we get a better look at Batman’s friends and foes with shots of Zoe Kravitz’s Selina Kyle aka Catwoman being badass, Jeffrey Wright as Detective Jim Gordon, Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot/Penguin, and Paul Dano as Edward Nashton/The Riddler. Plus, we get our first look at Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth.

All in all, it’s looking like we’ve got one hell of an exciting take on the Caped Crusader with Robert Pattinson donning the cowl. Here’s hoping we’ll be seeing this version of the Dark Knight taking on Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker at some point in the near future.

The Batman starring Robert Pattinson, Zoe Kravitz, Jeffrey Wright, Andy Serkis, Colin Farrell, and Paul Dano hits theaters on March 4, 2022.

HBO released the much-hyped prequel to The Sopranos, The Many Saints of Newark; which was both satisfying and vexing. The Halloween movie season has arrived and first up is the 2019 reboot of Child's Play. And happenstance brought us another wildly amusing movie starring the always entertaining Reb Brown.
