Kickstart My Netflix? Here's The Trailer For A Movie About Mötley Crüe.

Hello nerds!

Who’s ready for the origin story of an OG Hair Metal band? Netflix’s The Dirt is the film adaptation of the book by the same name, and it tells the tale of the early days of one of the most outrageous acts to come out of the 80s. Mötley Crüe.

The Dirt, “written by” the Crüe themselves, chronicled the frizzy-haired quartet's most outlandish tales from years on the road and doing super-ridiculous rock star shit; to include but not limited to destroying hotel rooms across the globe and snorting ants with Ozzy Osbourne. For obvious (and somewhat sad) reasons, the book was a huge success and became a New York Times best-seller. Seriously.

As these things go, a movie version of The Dirt was bound to happen. And after more than a decade-long development hell, Netflix acquired the rights to the movie and got right to work. Directed by Jeff Tremaine of MTV’s Jackass fame, The Dirt stars Iwan Rheon as Mick Mars, Daniel Webber as Vince Neil, Douglas Booth as Nikki Sixx, and (as I type this I can’t believe how spot on it is) Machine Gun Kelly as Tommy Lee.

The Dirt will be available for streaming on Netflix on March 22, 2019.
