Hello Mr. Anderson. Keanu Reeves And Carrie-Anne Moss Returning For The Matrix 4!

Hello nerds!

I am absolutely over the freaking moon with the news that not only is a new Matrix movie is coming, but at least two of our beloved heroes from the original trilogy are coming back for #4. Holy shit!

Per a report from Variety, Lana Wachowski is set to write and direct the fourth film set in the world of “The Matrix”. For pudding, Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss are reprising their iconic roles as Neo and Trinity. And from the sounds of it, WB chairman Toby Emmerich is just as excited for another Matrix movie as we are.

We could not be more excited to be re-entering ‘The Matrix’ with Lan. Lana is a true visionary — a singular and original creative filmmaker — and we are thrilled that she is writing, directing and producing this new chapter in ‘The Matrix’ universe.

Eff yeah! The original Matrix trilogy is arguably one of the greatest Sci-Fi franchises of all-time, and for good reason.

The jaw-dropping FX and action pieces in the film were groundbreaking, and upon recent viewings I can confirm they still hold up. Plus, the story that was brought to life by the stellar cast of those films was incredibly refreshing, and entirely entertaining.

For those unfamiliar, the original The Matrix lead a bit of a resurgence of the once decaying genre of Science Fiction. And with Lana Wachowski coming back to further explore the world she helped to create, and the returns of Carrie-Anne Moss and Keanu Reeves, The Matrix Part 4 could be another gamechanger.

No word yet if the great Laurence Fishburne will return as Morpheus, but as rumor suggests, we may get a younger version of the character. So, there might be some truth to the rumblings of Michael B. Jordan taking on the role.

Production on the untitled fourth Matrix film could start early next year, so a late 2020 or 2021 release is likely.

Until then, you can catch The One himself in another long awaited sequel, Bill & Ted Face the Music in theaters on August 21, 2020.
