And Baby Makes 3. Or 6. Well, 3 Now. An Old House Adds A New Child In Game Of Thrones Final Season

Greetings nerds!

Little is known about what fans can expect from the popular fantasy series, which is not scheduled to return to HBO until sometime in 2019, but thanks to a Blind Item from TVLinethere could be a surprise pregnancy at the center of the upcoming and final season of Game of Thrones.

Well, at least it seems to be about GoT. While the report does not specifically name the show outright, there are a couple of hints which seem to indicate a new baby, of some importance, is headed to Westeros.

What other show fits both the criteria of "a wildly popular, Emmy-winning series on a premium cable network" and  a "return until 2019"? Game of Thrones is about the only one that leaps to mind. Now that's settled, the real question is "Who in the hell is pregnant?". The obvious choices are either Daenerys Targaryen or Cersei Lannister. Sorry House Stark. I think you're good on tragedy for a bit.

Baby Targaryen seems like it makes the most sense. Especially, since Daenerys thinks she is unable to have children, but as Aegon.... er, Jon Snow pointed out, the "curse" came from the same witch responsible for killing Khal and baby Drogo. So, she might not have been entirely truthful. Still, I don't think there's anyway it's her.

Almost the entire series has been built around Daenerys' will to thrive and her ability to vanquish anything in her path, even when shit looks hopeless. Daenerys getting pregnant would be a welcomed, if not ill-timed, surprise for her and Jon, but there is no fucking way they're going to leave her out of the big fight against the army of the frozen dead. Maybe once the war is won, there will there be time for a baby dragon. Until then, if not Daenerys, the clear "mom" in Season 8 is Cersei Lannister. And brace yourselves, because I don't think Jaime is the father.

The bit of the item, "...you’ll probably make an immediate assumption about the identity of the baby daddy. But you know what they say about people who assume...”, leads me to believe after his "turn to the light", Jaime and Cersei won't be on the same side of things ever again. So, who does this leave as the potential father of the Queen's baby? Why, it's none other than the man formerly known as The Mountain is the father.

Yuck, I agree, but the giant, gold-clad, braindead oaf being the father will offer "more than a few implications, both dramatic and darkly comedic". Of course, an almost equally shocking father would be Jon Snow, but the Mountain is way more fun and ridiculous of a speculation. And at the end of it all, no matter who the father is, the valonqar will be coming for Cersei. Jaime Lannister. Former Kingslayer. Future Queenslayer.
